Wow, there was no November. What about December or am I the only person here with little enough of a life to be here? :Sarah1:

I hate that I have so much to do in life. I remember my college days when I used to have to study and study, but I still found time enough to write so much and read so much fanfiction. Now I work 10 hour days (which does give me 3 days off) and I have a dog and I have people who want to do things with me on my days off...and I was pulled into this book series called Twilight and that sucked all my attention for about 3 months (and I'm still in the middle of re-reading it again). So as much as I want to devote time to my Labyrinth passion, I can't seem to find much time anymore.

Fallen off the face of the earth, that's where. It's been pretty quiet around here lately but stick around, my little newbie friend. I come here almost every day and maybe if we get some conversations rolling again more people will talk. I usually see guests looking at the page but no bites. Both Hurleygirl and Lhiata have new little babies to raise and a couple other people are at university and Alorin Danya finally has a life so she doesn't have time to write her stories anymore. I keep thinking that someday when I'm rich and famous I'll fly everybody out for the Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade but that ain't happenin' any time soon. Go get yourself the manga - really it's just glorified fan fiction but it's still entertaining. :Sarah1:

Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Fantasy Ball in Hollywood, CA run by Lord Strider (huzzah!)

I went for year ten and I was horribly underdressed. I want to go for year 13 but I think I'll rent my costumes (two nights) :Sarah/Jareth:

I nearly forgot! :peach: Go to youtube and put the phrase Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade in the search engine. Fun times...

I went in 2005 and it was very cool. I wish I had the ability to put the videos I took of it online, but it was done with Hi-8 tapes and I have no clue how to transfer.

Have you ever considered going to a tape transfer service? They have at least one near where I live - where you can take tape and videos and have them made into cds and dvds. Can be pricey but is worth the effort usually if it's a reputable place, shop around.

Yeah for Hi-8 you need something akin to the Dazzle which can run $80-$100. Either that or if you have a Duel deck DVD Player/recorder VCR you can hook up the components to the VCR part and run a DVD dub. Then it's only a matter of converting the DVD to an AVI file or equivalent. I did that to get an old home movie onto my computer and then send it to relatives a few months back.

I'd be down for a January bookclub deal. I'm currently making my way through the previous posts hoping for a fanfic I haven't read yet or one I've managed to lose ....

Yeah, I think we were mostly covering the classics. Are there any that you like that we haven't mentioned yet? We need a February! :Sarah1:

Hey! I've got a February pick for ya! I just finished it a couple weeks ago and I never had heard of it until someone recommended it to me. It's very well written...and totally original. It has a very strong Sarah and the Jareth/Sarah parts are way HOT. Its rated mature for some sex scenes...so be forewarned. But...I think it's appropriate for Feb with Valentines day and all.

It's called "The lady and the Knight" by Jack Hawksmoor. It rocks!

I finished it! Respectable piece, very well done. Although I wonder if she's ever read at least the first five books in Roger Zelazny's The Chronicles of Amber...the black road is almost too similar.
